Ever since I found my birthday at the back of a magazine a read my horoscope, I was hooked on astrology. It wasn’t until recently though, in the last few years, that I understood what an actual birth chart was and that there was more to astrology than what being just my sign really was. I mean, I always felt like a Sagittarius, but when I looked deeper into it, it made sense why I felt like I was different on deeper levels but really, fully Sagittarius all around because I have so many placements in my chart.

So one day a few months ago, I took a leap and made a new social media account, not realizing how much it was going to change my life, and really my perspective. I had just finalized my divorce and was really unsure of where my life’s direction was going to go next. I wanted to create something new based on something I was passionate about and the thought came to me in a wave of three as most things do: astrology, tarot and crystals.

I started with posting little things here and there, some three card readings to dust off my tarot cards I’ve had since high school, not fully remembering the details or meanings. Rereading my favorite astrology books and editing and querying an astrology fiction novel I finished writing a year prior. Then I received a message in my inbox I almost ignored but couldn’t after some research. Their reviews were not too good to be true. I signed up for a consultation, convincing myself I wouldn’t sign up because it would be too much money and I didn’t need to invest that into myself right now because it wasn’t worth it. (Spoiler alert: it was.) They’re called 8th and Poppy by the way. They’re an Astrology mentorship program that had me skeptical in the beginning, but honestly, these ladies gave me the confidence to build an actual business for myself instead of being a scared amateur astrology wannabe. I not only learned how to read a natal chart, but I have the confidence to build something for myself because I believe in this deeply.

So far I have done 5 charts, and each time I have discovered more and have had happy customers. This has not only helped the confidence that 8th and Poppy has started in me, but has jump started this amazing gift that I can do so much to help people (and I love to help people). The really cool thing about astrology is that we can look at the past, present and future and tell someone what they can look at to help either their ongoing or upcoming situation to help them. We can look at the past and see what we can do to help them start healing or moving forward.

The really cool thing to me about astrology is that it is all based on our solar system and our stars. It is all connected to us and our Earth. The deeper I dive into it, the more I find connections and the more fascinated I grow. There are so many branches, but right now I am really focusing on natal charts, career charts, and synastry charts (relationships). So if you find yourself interested and wanting to know more about your path or a specific branch of yourself, don’t hesitate to book a reading. I have a great system where I can send you a detailed PDF document, and we can even deep dive together via chat or over the phone.
